Recoil 29:17
Relent 29:53

Recoil/Relent is Sharif Sehnaoui’s second release in his “Unprepared” acoustic guitar solos, which he started in April 2020 during the first wave of international lockdowns. The initial idea behind this project was to play his instrument without the use of any device or external tools, the latter having become an integral part of his playing since the late nineties.

The first of these solo releases (Concave/Convex) was recorded at home in Beirut with an H4 recording device, and released digitally by Detroit-based label Sounds From A Corridor. Recoil/Relent follows the exact same format, and was recorded by Fadi Tabbal at Tunefork Studios in Beirut.
